GO→IN Programs:
All GO→IN programs are custom designed to adapt to the needs of the participants and the location. Virtually any outdoor space can be the setting for a GO→IN program. The programs can be designed as a single session or a multi-day experience.
For grades 3-8: GO→IN Programs work directly with students to offer a wide variety of workshops that integrate outdoor education across the entire school curriculum. Topics range from Biodiversity, Ecological Concepts, Nature Awareness, Stewardship, and Journaling.
For Educators: Schools, nature centers, museums, and summer camps can take advantage of a variety of training workshops on outdoor education. These workshops support educators at all levels of experience with sessions covering a variety of topics and skills. The ideas are practical, educational, and fun.
For Adults: Outdoor education is for all ages. These workshops involve hands-on outdoor activities, group discussions, and individual reflections that take advantage of the well-documented physical, social and emotional benefits of time outdoors. In addition, a better understanding of ecological concepts and increased comfort in the outdoors will lead to improved creative thinking and group dynamics. Plus, the GO→IN programs are fun.
For Parents and Caregivers: Introducing children to the outdoors at an early age is the best way to help them begin their lifetime relationship with the more than human world. This workshop starts with background information on the benefits of getting children outdoors in wild areas. Participants will then learn a series of activities they can use with children that are fun and enriching. The workshop concludes with ideas for creating a backyard of nature discovery.
